J & D has designed hundreds of residential projects, including individual lot site plans, subdivisions, elderly housing and multi-family complexes. These projects included road design (horizontal and vertical geometry), curbs, sidewalks, drainage and utilities.

We work with the clients extensively in the early stages of a project and typically prepare several alternates for consideration. We start the projects off with a complete site survey and then design all proposed features. The projects are submitted to the various state and local agencies for permitting and we represent our clients at town commission meetings. Lastly, we perform the construction stakeout and as-built surveys required.

Our engineers frequently incorporate L.I.D. (Low Impact Development) techniques into the planning and design of our residential projects. We attend training sessions on the latest of these development strategies put on by universities and government agencies.
